You see, when we had Lucy on Monday at our house, Jackson had woken up earlier that morning puking, BUT, I attributed it to the 3 pieces of greasy chicken from KFC that he had the night before. Little did I know that it was, indeed, the stomach flu that Maddie, Jack and I then got on Tuesday night late - possibly about the time that little Lucy was sick ... and then, i spent the rest of the week recovering (being "as weak as a dishrag" as you described it) ... I am SO sorry we passed it on to you ... so, so sorry we passed it on to you. I think I owe you flowers or something! =) love, AlysaAlysahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02306953895837804934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33104679.post-4589733512439657892008-08-05T16:23:00.000-05:002008-08-05T16:23:00.000-05:00What a wonderful surprise! How touched your mom must've been. I'm soo, soo glad you guys all felt well enough to have the party - though like I said earlier, nothing shy of a hospital bed would've stopped you, right? :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33104679.post-88590688564198059872008-08-04T11:22:00.000-05:002008-08-04T11:22:00.000-05:00Thanks Ann-Marie and Becky! I think I had a little too much food because almost the whole cake was left over (but that worked out great since you got to have some...) :-)Alicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08780332353141865219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33104679.post-26094870472589583802008-08-04T10:16:00.000-05:002008-08-04T10:16:00.000-05:00Oh, Alice, I'm so glad it all came together. I asked Lucy yesterday how the party went, and she was so excited to tell me that Manga was SO surprised.

I sampled two pieces (don't tell) of your chocolate pistachio bundt cake. Mmmm. It was delicious. I need to get that recipe from you.Beckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02551784148230809344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33104679.post-47183967328825365092008-08-04T10:12:00.000-05:002008-08-04T10:12:00.000-05:00Wowsa! What a wonderful gift for your mom (trust me, having you as a thoughtful daughter was her greatest gift!).

Glad everything worked out and the day was successful.
